Default Your favorite "action shot" card that you own

Please excuse if this topic has came up before, just thought it would be a fun one. Here's one of my fav's of an under rated player from my youth.

I know this one has been brought up several times...but considering I FINALLY picked it up last week for my set I can now enjoy the card...

Staying with the 71 theme, this is a pretty bad mother of a card too...one of my favorites as a kid...

This is a really cool Mantle shot that I love...

Another favorite from my youth...did Pete ever have a helmet on when he was running??

One more...probably my favorite card when I was 9...one of the few Tito cards you can't read his name spelled out across his hat!

Topps flat out nailed this card...

Look at Gibsons face in this shot!! No wonder he was feared...

Another favorite from my youth...

Safe or Out???

I used to LOVE action cards when I was a kid...last one I promise!!

Default Mantle Shot ?

John---I like that card and I have it in my set. I grew up in St Louis and had the good fortune of attending game one at age 14. Game 3 was in NY and the Cardinal pitcher off whom Mantle homered was Barney Schultz. I have always felt that the picture on that card in fact shows Mantle swinging and missing a Gibson fast ball.

Al...first off...what a series and game to go to...WOW.

I just read the "Last Boy" Mantle book and she did a great job describing that HR. Definitely a high light of the book. And I think you are 100% right...here is a photo this card obviously comes from and this is Gibson blowing one past him..TOO FUNNY. Thanks for that! Great observation...

I've always loved this one because of the sheer irony of there being absolutely no action going on in an "in action" card
