Default Crossover - how do you submit?

Remedial question, and I know it's one that's been on the boards a bunch, so sorry, but I'd like to cross over a few SGC-encapsulated cards (and maybe BVG) to PSA.

I'd like to do it with a min grade guarantee, e.g., an SGC80/6 crosses into a PSA 6; if PSA deems it less than a 6, they keep it in the SGC holder

Can I send them in, still in their SGC/BVG cases, and then PSA makes a decision if it can maintain the min grade, and then THEY crack it out and re-encapsulate it into a PSA holder?

Is this possible? My question is, to "guarantee" a 6, wouldn't PSA need to crack it out of the SGC case and assess edges, etc.?

thanks, mike

You can request they only crack if same or higher. they then only crack if they can ascertain if it will cross over while in the holder. they error on the side of caution and if not 100% do not crack out. i have done it many times. cards that deserve to cross usually cross about 75% of the time in my experience. I usually crck the remainder if i am confident they should cross and Id say about 85% cross after crack out 5 % get higher and 10 % get a grade lower or come back altered (not common).

Default May previous post refers to SGC

I was referring to SGC cards BVG/BGS are too often sheet cut or post factory cut, in my opinion, for me to buy enough to try and cross.
