Default Help with Mel Ott oddball item

I won this Mel Ott item this morning on ebay. The seller says it's a Vintage Mel Ott New York Giants Blotter in NRMT condition....Approx size: 3 X 5 7/8". Can anyone help me out with the year these were issued? Is it from a set? Thanks.

Does anyone know about this Mel Ott blotter? I assume it's from sometime between 1942 and 1948 since it pictures him as a manager.

Default Hey Jeff

Hey Jeff
Well, ya' knew I would have to probably have at least one . I have it listed as a 1940's H-Unc blotter.....I have sold one similar to it and have this one in my collection, with a stamp on it. I think it's pretty much what you see is what you get. Value is in the $50-$125 range, in my experience. I don't think there is a set as it's the only player I have seen. regards

.

Man... I saw that and had no idea what it was. Wish I would have placed a bid now.

Thanks for the comments guys. I thought it was interesting and didn't break the bank on it. It was an early morning $20.00 victory!

I like the card, and love the message.

I would definitely like to own one Leon, if you ever come across another.
