Default 1906 Logan Squares

Hey all! I am part of a production company looking to produce a film about the 1906 Logan Squares semi-pro baseball team in Chicago. We are specifically interested in 1906 because that is the year in which they defeated the White Sox and Cubs in back-to-back games following their World Series matchup.

If you have any photos, memorabilia, stories, ANYTHING at all having to do with the team, Jimmy Callahan and that era, please contact me at frederickalanking@gmail.com

Thanks!

Have to talked to or read anything by Scott Simkus? He's a Chicago researcher/author who wrote a long series on Callahan's Logan Squares in the defuct "Outsider Baseball Bulletin" and then in his 2014 book "Outsider Baseball." In my book "The League of Outsider Baseball" I wrote about Percy Skillin who in 1905-07 was the best collegiate pitcher in the country. He played in the Chicago City League against the Logan Squares during the summer of '06 when he was home from Dartmouth.

Thanks Gary! I think we may have some of Scott's work, but I would love to speak with him.

Good luck with finding anything from any of those teams. I looked for years with no luck. I create graphic ephemera props for movies and TV and I did a couple of made-up scorecards for the Logans years ago for a private collector who wanted them for fun. I tried to find originals for reference but came up with nothing so had to make them up using period typefaces and graphics. Would love to see if anything authentic pops up in your search.

I cannot help with 1906 but I have a large scrapbook with thousands of newspaper box scores and articles from the Chicago leagues from 1907-12 the Logan square are featured many times
