Default Early Jim Thorpe Photo (Carlisle, Pa)

With all of this Jim Thorpe talk I ran across this today at a garage sale and picked it up for 25 cents. To me the guy in the back row in the middle looks like a younger Thorpe. He was tall for his time at 6'1 and he's the tallest there. What you guys think?

Josh

Doesn't look like him to me all that much.

all or mostly Indians? ...jay

I don't see him in this photo...Thorpe's team at Carlisle was an all Indian team.

I don't see him either. but it is a great early piece of football memorabilia. Nice find for two bits. I collect postcards and if you'd like to find a home for it, e-mail me. joe

I don't see anyone that looks like Thorpe. Thorpe did play for the Canton Bulldogs after his Carlisle days, so him among all caucasian teammates could be right, but I dont see him in the photo.

With that said, I collect old football memoribilia and would be interested if you sell it.

If you can't identify him just call him Joe Jackson or Jim Thorpe . But really I don't think that looks much like him at all but for 25 cents no matter who is on it you can't go wrong.
