Default October Pickups

Lets kick this one off with the Captain! Not an annoying subgrade high grade card but one with character with the old SGC flip. Definitely a keeper!

Jason, I can't see the card.

Here's one I just got in. Peter posted a picture of this card about two weeks ago. I'd never seen it, but I loved it immediately, and wanted one of my own.

Jason - Not seeing an image in your post either.

Bill - One of the best Griffey images. His early 90s cards take me back to my high school pack busting days. Very nice.

Sorry folks, hopefully the scan should work now. Nice Griffey! I remember spending $15 just on the Ryan Express from that set.

I see it now. That's a real nice Jeter.

Dustin-I agree. That's one of the best Griffey cards I've seen. Oh, how I'd love to find one of those autographed with like a gold foil pen. How sweet would that look?

Added a signed RC's to the collection. I briefly flirted with grabbing a 2009 Trout Bowman Chrome, but then I realized how many other signed RC's I could pick up for a grand so I backed off. Happy with these two that arrived today however.

I love the modern card issues with HOF autos. I have a few of them on my eBay watch list at all times. Here is my latest.

I haven't been buying as many Bowman Chrome autos, but I added a couple. Andrelton Simmons is phenomenal. He's got pretty good power. If he gets his bat on the ball just a little more consistently, you might as well clear a spot for him at Cooperstown, because as far as defense goes, he's the very best in the game. Devin Williams we took out of high school. These refractors really shine when the scanner element is passing over them. It looks like a mirror in person, not this bright white.

Way to go, Topps, not even having the ALCS MVP among the players you selected for your postcard.

Those are nice, btw. Good pickups.

Nice Ventura, Bill. I love the Chrome autos. When I came back to the hobby, almost all my buys were Bowman Chrome prospect autos. I love them. They're really condition sensitive, so you have to look them over carefully.

Default 1982 Ripken Traded

I picked this all time favorite up for it's centering...better than most 4's I come across.
