Default Card Display

Hi everyone,

I was curious how you guys display your cards? Ideally, one day I’d like to put my collection in a few display cases. The only problem is these cases only hold cards of certain sizes. I don’t own any of the 1965 TOPPS cards yet, but I looked up the dimensions and they seem enormous, especially when graded. Is there something you guys do to accommodate all card sizes?

Thanks!
Jerry

I solved this by purchasing a vintage display case and using picture stands of various sizes to prop up items. I rotate card themes through the case occasionally just for fun. The other great thing about a large display case (if you have the room) is you can include companion pieces to liven up your displays. I like to try and pick up wrappers, boxes, advertising, etc. that complement my cards.

Here are a couple I've done in the past.

Jim Thorpe / Red Grange Display

Wheaties Display

Jeff, enjoyed looking at these. A Chicle display would be cool - cards, wrapper, premiums.

I've gone the same way as Jeff, and purchased a display case. I switch it out occasionally... add some cards, take some away, etc.

Beautiful displays guys! As a baseball football hockey and football card set collector, space is always a concern. So my cards remain mostly raw in boxes.

These are great, thanks everyone!

Do you guys know the dimensions of a PSA holder for a 1965 Topps tall boy card?

Best,
Jerry

Great display Todd! I love seeing your collection, especially the Alworth stuff. That Alworth bumper sticker is one of my favorite items, I just love that kind of stuff.

Yes it would. I wish I had more National Chicle items beyond the cards, wrapper, and premiums. Have never seen an empty box, advertisement piece, or any other related football items.

Good idea, though!

Great displays!

Right now I have my Jets cards in binders and boxes, which I am in the process of shifting through and putting into binders. I'm hoping once I move I'll have room for a nice display case so I can show off my treasures.
