To quote a wise, valued and dear member of the board:

"When the meteors kill the dinosaurs off of this board, that will be a day the board moves into a new epoch... a time when the collective knowledge has been significantly diminished."

Alas, with this announcement, I fear the propesized day has arrived.

Brad, if you're really leaving, since you won't be needing it, can I have your demerit?

Jeff,

If you're serious, I was thinking the same thing at first, but his post count is the same. He has also deleted some items off the B/S/T.

Good rule of thumb for the board - by default read all of Jeff's posts assuming sarcasm was intended; only if reading it sarcastically isn't possible should you assume he was being literal.

Default homophones?

A double yikes on the homophones issue. I guess "not that there is anything wrong with a homophone". I am sure they have been called worse. I used to be a waiter, before my IT days, and we had lots of homophones working there......They were usually easy to get along with....Actually, I have some good friends that are homophones....

Brad- you ought to hang around....everyone gets ragged on every now and then. But if you decide to go you are always welcome back whenever you want to....take care

btw, this sort of reminds me of the ole Gilda Radner (RIP) skits...............bitch

Brad- I don't think anybody hates you...well, I can't speak for everyone, but I don't hate you- but when you make a comment (to paraphrase) such as "I know there are a lot of homosexuals on the board"- well you are going to get yourself in repeated hot water...not to mention the "Frank Thomas is very black" thing. These quips won't make you new friends.

My favorite Frank Thomas story... (apologies to Al C. who heard this one last week.)

In 1962 the NY Mets had the worst team in the history of baseball, but they had a HOF centerfielder in Richie Ashburn. Several times, early in the season, Ashburn had been run over by shortstop Elio Chacon, while chasing pop-ups. After one bruising collision, he went to the coaches. He was told that Chacon spoke no English, so instead of yelling "I got it!", he should yell "Yo la tengo!"

Ashburn called a players meeting, with translators, and they agreed to this change.

Next game, along comes a pop-up. Asbburn comes charging in yelling "Yo la tengo! Yo la tengo!" Out of the corner of his eye he sees Chacon slam on the brakes. He reaches for the pop and gets steam-rollered by left fielder Frank Thomas. Thomas spoke no Spanish and... had skipped the players meeting. Ball drops. Batter is on second. Runners have scored.

As he helps Ashburn to his feet, Thomas says to him, "What the hell is a yellow tango?"

It wasn't the Freddy Mercury photo, it was the red sticker next to him that says "12-inch Maxi single".

Default Well, I'm confused...

Your title reads that this is your next to 12th last post on this board, yet your post begins with the sentence that this is the last post on the board.

???

Please be concise and consistent when stating your goals, otherwise you risk being misunderstood and possibly rendered irrelevant.

If it's your 12th to last post, then I anxiously await the topics of your final 11!
If this was your last, then we bid farewell. I have no idea who you are or what you've contributed or what set you off, but best of luck in future travels!

Leon changed it to "12th to last" after it became apparent that Brad was continuing to post, despite his initial ominous threat to the contrary.

In Brad's defense I changed the title after he had posted several more times. I was just trying to help another collector out.....all in fun, which is what the hobby is supposed to be about, lest we forget?
