Default Civil War Show

Totally off topic. My dad and two uncles have been collecting American Civil War relics since the 1950's. They have one of the top relic collections in the US. This weekend was one of the two shows that they display at. These are a few pictures. This year's display was 179 rare Union and Confederate buckles.

This year's show was held in Fredericksburg, VA, but there is some discussion about moving next year's show to someplace in the Northern Virginia area. I just help with the setup - takes about an hour to get everything put out, and another hour to put it away. My dad actually came in for a few hours. He has not attended any shows for the last few years. We've been trying to get him to come, since a lot of his generation of collectors have passed away and the ones that are left ask about him.

As a Civil War buff and former reenactor, this collection leaves me drooling. Thanks for sharing.
