This seller is at it again selling fake Fro Joy sheets as original. I contacted the seller very nicely the last time he had it listed, & he was a rude jerk. Please help, & report it to eBay as a replica. Not sure why the links stopped working for me. The eBay item# is 8764037706 Thank you.

The lack of picture quality, clarity, & overall appearance. The biggest giveaway is that the background of the portrait card should be black. It's easly a reprint. I would really appreciate your help. Here's a link to what the portrait card should look like. Thanks again.

He is right it is 100% fake, the background of the portrait card should be black. This sheet is actually a B&W reprint of the fake colorized sheets. So its a reprint of a reprint garbage

He's slyly skirted around any listing violations. Hard to pin this creep down. Big seller fee for the Bay, they likely wont listen if they haven't already -crooked Power Sellers tend to have more freedom *ch -ching*. Caveat emptor

What you guys should do if ebay won't boot the auction and the guy is a jackass that won't listen to reason, is email all the bidders (I know there is only 1 right now) The seller should have made it a private aucton to avoid this, but he didn't. By educating his bidders, you will really piss the scam artist off.

Has anybody contacted the current bidder? The poor guy has spent like 50 bucks on eBay over the last year, and here he is bidding $500 on what he thinks is a great deal. Hate to see somebody whacked so hard in the hobby by a sleazy seller.

I sent the high bidder an e-mail warning him it was a fake. It's now on the bidders shoulders to retract his bid. If he doesn't, it's his own fault now.

Just be careful...ass-backwards Ebay may boot you for contacting the bidders but will be hesitant to stop the seller.

Yes, be careful with that. I know someone who contacted the high bidder on a reprint that was being sold as authentic. Ebay gave him a warning, and threatened to suspend his account.

Seems backwards, I know, but I can also understand it.

I still think the best recourse is using eBay's replica/counterfiet reporting link to report the item. I really dont know if eBay will do anything, but maybe they will if enough of us reported it. As far as contacting a bidder about a scam, I have done it in the past without any problems, but I suspect there could be issues depending on how you go about it. eBay's policy states the following: eBay allows members to contact one another through the eBay Email Forwarding System, with features such as "Contact an eBay Member" and "Ask Seller a Question". The purpose of these features is to provide an open avenue of communication between eBay users"

I actually got to speak with this guy by phone today. His name is Rick Giddings from Illinois and after some heated items we exchanged he left this number 815-645-8282. I would reccomend anyone with questions to contact him. After speaking for about an hour he really is a nice guy though abrasive at first. Point is if you have great issue you should call him and confront him by phone about the Fro-Joy like I did.

if the bidder has been notified that it's a fake and he doesn't eventually remove his bid, then it's quite apparent that the bidder is a shill.

Even though my opinion of the sheet is fake, I still am not 100% sure that the item is fake. I am no expert on these. Maybe nobody knows for sure. I would be 100% sure that you know for a fact that his sheet is not real before you contact any bidders.

Agreed. He is abrasive by phone but harmless. He actually inst a bad guy once you approach him different. I do agree the sheet I think is not authentic. His mind is made up however, and I think his bark is alot bigger than his bite. Possibly a nice guy though underneath that rough hide. I don't have beef with him anymore. If someone is gullable enough to take a chance on it then I can't stop them. I doubt eBay will remove it. They don't care as long as they get paid.

Various times while running auctions for higher-end game used cards, some jackasses emailed by bidders, ERRONEOUSLY alleging that they were fakes. I received confirmation from the manufactueres that they were NOT fakes, but the damage was done. BTW nobody bothered emailing me first to present their allegations.
Just a thought...
