Default A sweet deal for AJ

Like it or not The Pat McAfee Show has become a fixture on ESPN, but that is what it is. What is a fixture on the show though is A J Hawk? How much is Hawk being paid to sit in front of a mic usually on the right side of the screen. He rarely makes a contribution to the discussion and occasionally changes his facial expression slightly. He was a decent linebacker with the Packers, but is doing nothing to enhance his credentials in broadcasting. How long will he last with Pat on the show? He brings so little to the table on the show, but I guess one could argue that the rest of the cast on the show, although speaking, bring very little to the table as well.

It's like when CBS brought in Don Perkins when he left the Cowboys, in what was it, 1969? He didn't last long. He just kind of stood there. Pat Summerall, Dick Stockton, Frank Gifford, Frank Glieber and Tom Brookshire did all the talking.

Default AJ

Frank- It's a bit of a reach to expect quality of any kind at ESPN these
days, so there is that. However, I'll defend my guy AJ's career, at least.
He is actually Green Bay's all-time leading tackler by > 100 tackles, and
won a Super Bowl. I'm going to call that better than "decent"
