Default Just look at what Topps did to this Babe Ruth autograph

http://cgi.ebay.com/1-1-Babe-Ruth-Si...pt=US_Baseball

If this is not considered repulsive, then I don't know what is.

Actually, Topps didn't do that....the collector did. None of the 2008 Topps Allen & Ginter autos looked like that. I don't even think Ruth had a cut auto in that series.

Well if Topps did not do it, then I apologize to them, but the collector is oh so wrong.

What they did was cut out "Babe" from something that probably said "Babe & Claire"...it's clear that it wasn't a full signature...not that it makes it any less repulsive to cut apart an artifact like that.

If you look at this guys other auctions, he has done the same thing several times. Home made "cut autograph" cards have been popping up (trying to pass off as the real deal) for a couple of years now.

Babe and Claire should have been left intact. Those cards that are made by that guy are cool, but they really are nothing more than a cut sig in a setting, as not made by the card companies, etc. So, the 1/1 stuff is dumb that Ive seen written on some of those.
