Default Selling autographs at national

I happen to be going to Chicago for a conference the same time as the National and can get away Wed night and attend. With my focus being vintage signed cards and rare HOFers- is it likely I may find something that interests me? Also does it pay at all to bring anything along I may be interested in selling and how might I find interested buyers. Or will I be so busy saying hello to all the folks I've never met in person like Ron Gordon and Bill Corcoran that I won't have time for anything else?

I think it's always good to bring things for trade bait or sale. A few key items could really strike up a deal.

Michael,
Realistically The National is still a very good venue to look for the obscure and rare HOF signatures that you collect. Outside of the big catalogue auctions, The National offers your best opportunity to find some for your collection. If you have never attended one, I would highly recommend that you absolutely do..

Besides the two dealers that you mentioned, you should also visit Phil Marks' booth and Kevin Keating's. Both deal in old and obscure autographs and are ethical and good guys to deal with. You never know what you will come across, but be prepared to bring your wallet as it can be expensive.

As Leon mentioned, bringing some good material to sell or trade can be helpful.

Good luck!
