Great stuff Greg!! The Wheeling Butternut Bread pin has got to be exceedingly rare. Love the Washington All-Star Pin with the player roster on the ribbon. Thanks for sharing! Adam

Great left coast pins!

Adam -- I also really like the look of the Wheeling pin.

Here are a few more as I continue to take photos.

I collect all things related to the 1971 Bucs. Although I have many other pinbacks these for obvious reasons are my favorites.

Default Pafko

Hi Greg,
Kind of a weird color scheme but I like the bright pink. I found this one in a group of other basically worthless pins. I guess you never know where the good ones will turn up.

All those Pirate pinbacks look great! Of course, you really should have the Orioles pinbacks in there, displayed together, since they are forever connected in the '71 Series.

By the way...don't even start collecting the '79 Bucs; I really don't like to think about two Series losses.

Question for 71buc Mike: were all those guys with their names in the black boxes also on the 1972 team? I ask because I had dated my same Giants pins to 1972, based on who was featured.

Andy -- didn't realize it's pink, I thought it was just the shading of the photo.

Nics Bucs pins Mike -- I like collections with focus, something I am sorely lacking.

Yes they were also on the 72 team. I believe they were produced between 70-73 the black helmet Stargell is wearing was worn in 1970.

Thanks, perhaps I am limited by geography here on the left coast, but the one in my collection is the only one I have seen on eBay or elsewhere. I have never been to the National so it may be more common than I am aware.

Here are what I think are the final pin back photos, unless I pick up some more soon (hint, hint).
I'm finally setting up at a show soon, and the last couple of photos with the green felt background are the ones I'll be taking with me.

Default America's Cup Pin

 photo Reliance Pin_zpspkxxdpte.jpg

 photo Reliance Pin Back_zps0xbhqucf.jpg

Just got this on eBay....for $17.00 I couldn't pass it up...as I have a few other America's Cup things to go with it...The listing didn't mention anything about it being in the America's Cup...probably why I got it so cheap...

The Reliance was owned by Cornelius Vanderbilt III of the Untied States and in 1903 it defeated the Shamrock III...owned by Sir Thomas Lipton...the tea guy...of England...

Default Pin History

Hey thanks Mike...I could get into these pins...I guess Whitehead & Hoag Co. was the biggest producer of them...So I like that this Reliance one provides an example of a non Whitehead & Hoag...Below an interesting reference to it's production out of a trade journal...

I'm curious about the pins below. They have the design of the crossed bats pins, but only have the team name in the center. Besides these two, I have seen the Detroit Tigers, Indians, and St Louis Cardinals. They are not very common and I was wondering if pin collectors out there have seen other teams? Surely the Yankees have one. Possibly the Red Sox, Cubs, Braves?

Hi Mike,

Thanks Rob and Mike -- the Kolb's piece is eight inches across.

While about half the players went on to the Majors, there were no big names.
