Default uncatalogued Babe Ruth card

So says the seller, who at first glance made me think of someone who frequents this board, but that was just a case of mistaken identity.

anyone familiar with this Babe Ruth card?  is it vintage or not?

Since I won it I guess I should be familiar with it. It is legit. I saw another one in a Lipset auction many years ago. They are very scarce... You can google it and find that it was a movie back in the 1926 time frame...regards

I had one at one time, I beleive Adam W. has it now, it was yellow like that one and the top edge was preferated if I remember right.

This one on eBay went for a good price, Ive seen about 3-4 of them over the years on eBay (green or yellow color) and they usually sell for more like $400-$500.

It is rare.

Thanks....it's going in my collection....That seems to be the ending place for a lot of my buying lately, which isn't altogether good.

Leon, I thought that was an awesome card. I was going to bid on it but there's alot of good stuff out there I'm more interested in at the moment. Glad I could save you some money. How could you pass on the Babe with a babe?

Thanks. I think it's fairly close to normal exhibit size though I don't think I have held one, yet....I am fairly sure that ESCO (Exhibit Supply Company) didn't make this as it as a promo piece for the movie of said name...

That card went for less than 1/2 of what it should have--post National hangover I suspect.

It doesn't appear to be an ESCO product but is very likely a rival arcade card. I had mine encapsulated as such by SGC.
