Default Anyone Know what this disaster of a Babe Ruth this is?

A friend asked me and I seen them around and dismiss them as used for some sort of game(based on die cut) or a fantasy piece. Maybe one of those thingies you look through.. I am sure itís already been determined I just donít know. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

I think it's a page from a "flip-through" booklet.

Appears to be an individual frame from a Mutoscope reel. Like a flip book on a spool that is viewed through a machine. A reel might have a few hundred to a few thousand images.
