Default Help with 1985 Thom McAns

Looking to finish off the 1985 Thom McAn MSA disc set and straighten out the checklist. Anyone out there collect these ?

Question 1: What about the Brett disc. My opinion is that this disc does not exist since I have never seen one. Does anyone have one and can they share a pic of front and back ? What color is it ?

Question 2: Without the Brett there are 46 different players, but 8 of them come in two colors as follows:
Cedeno green & red
Cooper green & red
Cowens blue a& yellow
Hargrove green & red
Leonard blue & yellow
Valenzuela blue & yellow
Walker red & orange
Zahn red & orange

That means an extra 8 color variations for a total of 54 discs.
Are there any other two color pairs ?

Question 3:
What color are the following discs that I am missing in my set ?
Beniquez
Dejesus
Deleon
Langford
Ortiz

Thanks for any light you all can shed on this set.

DeLeon and Ortiz are both red. DeLeon is the first disc on the second row, Ortiz is the fourth disc on the third row. bobsbbcards has a full set of these (I know, shocking) so he will be able to tell you the colors of the other three.

I believe I found another color variation in the set. The OP's Ayala is definitely orange, and the Ayala in the lot pictured that sold on eBay in August 2013 sure looks red to me. It is the first disc in the first row.

Thank all of you...that helps a lot.

1) I assume you all are agreeing that Brett does not exist...correct ??

2) Adding Ayala and Ripken as two color variations makes 10 two color variations. So 46 players and 10 two color variations ...Anyone disagree ?

3) Anyone have doubles of the ones I'm missing for sale or trade ??

4) Are the MSA Subways from the same year without the JOX on the back the same list of 46 layers ?? The catalogs do not seem to agree. ???

After nearly three years I believe it can be confirmed that the 1985 Thom McAn Benny Ayala can be found in two different colors, orange (gold?) and red. A seller currently has all of the Latin players from the set on eBay, and his Ayala is clearly red. Unfortunately his price is a little too steep for me . I left the Concepcion in the scan to contrast the red Ayala and show it is the same color as the orange (gold?) Ayala. ETA, the seller is correct about describing these as a Puerto Rico set as all ten players are from Puerto Rico.

Default 1985 Thom McAn set 2020

I finally got PSA to remove the George Brett phantom card from their 1985 Thom McAn listing. They are now showing only 46 different players as it should be, similar to Beckett.

I am working on them to grade the different colors for a master set. Just checking with you all to make sure I capture them all.

Unless I hear differently, I will push for these 10 double colored players:

Ayala - red & orange
Cedeno - red & green
Cooper - red & green
Cowens - yellow & blue
Hargrove - red & green
Leonard - yellow & blue
Ripken - yellow & blue
Valenzuela - yellow & blue
Walker - red & orange
Zahn - red & orange

If you can show pictures of any others now is the time to include them
