Default Three of the same card, same grade.

Posted By: Jeff Lichtman

Ok, I've wanted to get a Zack Wheat T205 for some time now. The following three, all graded PSA or SGC 5 come up around the same time.

This one is from Rusty Willy's store (one of the board members who, by the way, has a great site and is a great seller):

This one is from an ebay auction:

And this is one is from another ebay auction (which coincidentally was a Rusty Willy auction)

Needless to say, they are all graded the same '5'. Any thoughts on which one you'd prefer? One of the the three is mine now. And feel free to offer commentary on the relative grading styles of SGC compared to PSA .

The first one has a tad bit too much corner wear for me.

The second one I like because of the centering.

Third one is nice, but I have issues with centering.

Probably go with 2. Maybe 3. Not 1. One is a 4.

I agree completely - my order of preference:

2,3,1 (and 1 is not a 5 so I wouldnt pay more than the value of a 4 for it).

I agree with the others. My preferrence would be for #2. It ranks higher than #3 for me primarily because #3 is out of focus.

That one is still on ebay, so you must have picked up the first or third one. Which one was it??

The third one. While the centering is a bit off compared to #2, the colors are extraordinary and the borders (which are often a disaster on T205s) are only slightly damaged. I find that in this issue, bad wear on the gold borders tends to take the focus off the image.
