Default Scanning Your Cards and Coins

I hope I'm posting in the right section...

I've been trying to scan photos of some of my PSA graded Armour Coins, and they are coming out all blurry. I've adjusted every setting I can think of. The scanner is not in front of me to get the make and model, but does anybody have any tips that might be useful? ANY help is appreciated. Thanks.

Tony

More than likely the issue is that your scanner has a CIS element and not a CCD scanning element. For more info, see here:

also, if you do a search on "scanner recommendations" you will find a few thread here with great advice. You can't go wrong getting a Canon CanoScan XXXX or an Epson Perfection. Make sure to get a CCD based scanner.

VERY helpful, CW. Thank you. Looks like I need a new scanner.
