Default Help with old baseball pin

Posted By: JC19

Hello -

I just purchased a 2 pin lot on eBay for a 1930 Cracker Jack Lou Gehrig pin. The other pin in the lot is pictured below. I have no idea what it is, and even though I did not buy the lot because of the pin, I was hoping someone might know something about it. Any information would be appreciated. I don't know the year it was produced, but I am guessing it would be from around the same time period - mid 1930's.

is late 19th to early 20th century. There were a bunch of different companies that issued those 'position' pins in different sizes. Some were color, some were gold with players on them and they had the company names on the front of them. Nice pickup for what you paid for the lot. I need that Gehrig for my set but hope for one in just a hair better condition............the position pin is worth what you paid for the lot........

Tom,

Thanks for the info. I had this pin I bought years ago... I assume it is from the same series then?

but of the same 'type' and probably same timeframe. There were smaller and larger (like the ones you have I think) pins. The smaller ones were more like the P2 Sweet Cap pins and the larger ones are more like the Cameo Pepsin pins. What Cracker Jack pins do you need.....email me as I have a couple of dupes.
