Good work, Lyman.

Unfortunately, it took an hour and 45 minutes last night for Comcast to program a new modem I bought. Unbelievable! see you next time.

I would have owed you $ if you had played Steve.

Was caught stealing from the big blind, ran into AK who had limped under the gun which really threw me off and of course dominated my A2 and all-in bet.

Sooner or later, it had to happen. happy.gif

After fourteen tournaments that we have run over that many months, I was finally able to win one last night. The tournament started slow with no playable hands at all, then I lost much of my chipstack on a bad beat. Slowly, however, I recovered and with the help of some incredible luck in the home stretch I ended the tournament in first place.

We had fifteen participants in the tournament last night and it was great fun for all. I will be posting the detailed results on the Old Cardboard website in the next day or two. Meanwhile, Old Cardboard Tournament #3 for 2009 is now open for registration. It is PokerStars #143551234 set for March 24 at 20:30 ET (7:30 Texas Time); password for registration is n172n172.

Thanks again for all who participated. Hope to see you at the tables next month.

Lyman

Rawn is killing me...although I played a horrible final hand...went all in with short stack and small blind in fourth place after everyone had folded ahead of me. Of course, Rawn who beat me last week, had pocket queens to stand up to my little 6/4 of hearts. Flopped a 6 but nothing else. Congrats to Lyman and Rawn. BTW, I spent nearly the entire tournament in last place. Like Lyman, I had no cards and no hands and was nearly blinded out twice but got lucky both times. Lots of fun again and I encourage everyone to play.

Joshua

Played in three 50 person $65 buy-in tourneys at Caesars. Finally cashed with First place in the third one.

Had great success at "3 card Poker"; one straight flush and three trips.

Fun time but I'm still sorry to have missed the game. See yall in March for sure.

Nothing personal Joshua, I got smoked all in with a 99 and lost to an AK. I must say that this is a great tournament to play in.(The only one I've played in, but nonetheless very enjoyable).
