Default R309-1 1934 Goudey Premium Babe Ruth

Posted By: Matt

Back in 1933, kids could trade in 50 wrappers from packs of Goudey baseball cards, for 1 of 4 "Premiums." The most desirable of these rare 5-1/2" x 8-13/16" cards is the Babe Ruth, which seems very undervalued considering the scarcity compared to his regular Goudey issues.

For sale, is a R309-1 Ruth in Fair condition, with a punch hole and pin hole on top and some corner wear. The premium still retains the original cardboard stand and the damage does not obscure the great shot of the Ruth (used for card 144 in the '33 Goudey set).

Hi-Res scans of the front and back are here:
