Default Trivial T206 Question

Can anyone explain why Cy Young appears to be wearing a Philadelphia Athletics uniform on this card? He never played for the A's. He left Cleveland in mid-1911 and went to Boston. I suppose he could have worked out with the A's before signing with the Braves.
The problem with this explanation is that this card has a Series 350 back, so it would have been printed before the 1911 season even began. So can anyone explain this uniform?

There should be a B on the other side

Boston Americans.

That makes sense, except that none of the other Boston player have a "B A". Their uniforms all say BOSTON in red letters on white uniforms. Besides, Cy left Boston after 1908.

I think he played for the Boston Rustlers in 1911.

He played for both Cleveland (for the first half of 1911) and the Boston Rustlers (for the second half). I still don't get the "A" on his uniform.

This is a very nice composite showing players in uniform.

Thanks Jake. I still don't understand why he would have an "A" on his uniform in 1910. I love that 1908 uniform. They occasionally wear it as a throwback. I think Boston has one of those classic uniforms, along with St. Louis, that I really like.

Here's a cool display of the evolution of Red Sox uniforms.
