Default Dixie Lid Variations

As I venture deep into the 50's with my Dodgers collection and learn more about regional food cards like Dan-Dee, Briggs Meats, Wilson Franks, etc., I find myself drawn more to the Dixie Lids product found in 1952-54. The variation collector in me loves the multiple lid backs that exist. The lids from 52-54 are different from the lids released in 1937 and 1938 in that the photo image is squared off on the bottom. Lids can be found in three diameter sizes, with tabs facing 5 o'clock on the 1952 & 1953 release and left or right (identified with an L or R) on the 1954 lids. The 1954 lids can also be distinguished by the 3D starviewer ad on top. The variations are endless when you consider the many different creameries that carried these along with the strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla flavors.

A master list of the creameries doesn't seem to exist, at least I'm not aware of one. Perhaps this will be a helpful thread to future collectors with the time and ambition to create one. Take a look at the list below, if you see a creamery missing feel free to let us know and I will add it.

I would be interested in any Dodgers you may have with full tab and no paper loss.

There are actually three sizes of 1954s. There are tons of different backs - think a master list would be huge. Here's a few dairies I've seen:

1953: Abbotts (sm), Aristocrat, Arvilla, Bordens, Breyers, Charlotte Freeze (Van), Dixie, Dolly Madison, DuVal, Golden Jersey, Hoodsie (sm), Medo-Land, Nelson’s, Sealtest, Superior

1954: Aristocrat, Big Top Sundae (lg), Blue Boy, Bowman, Bordens (red/blue Balt. MD, red/blue Wilmington DE, white/blue Huntington WV), Consumers, Crème Glacee Regal, Crème Glacee (sm), Crystal, Dolly Madison, Fairmont (lg), Frozert - Mellorine, Golden Jersey, Hawthorn-Mellody, Hendlers, Honey Kist, Jersey Maid, Lillard, McDonald, Meadow Gold, Nelson’s, Perfection, Producers, Sanitary, Schlosser’s, Schwen’s, Sealtest, Shurtleff’s, Swifts, Thompson’s, Velda (lg), Wagar’s, Walnut Grove, Wilson’s

Default Bump - Is anyone working on this Master List Still?

I love the idea of creating a master list of these I was curious if there was an update to the nice start 4reals had.

Here is another variation, "Pensupreme" from Penn Dairies. This one is on the back of Al "Red" Schoendienst. It's from Lancaster PA.
