Continuing to chip away at the Champ's Cigarettes set...here's a very high grade one that I just got for a great price:

Default My best pickup in months

Value wise this isn't extravagant, but it's worth a mint to me. I found this Type 1 of John Norlander on the Bay for 10 bucks. I immediately recognized that it was the photo for his 1948 Bowman, his only card I know of. The name and address of Paul Hoffman has meaning on the back as he was a team member of John on the Washington Caps at the time. Somehow he must of been given these photos during the Bowman release.

Here's the best part of the story - John here is my step-fathers dad. I will be freeing the Bowman from the slab here and putting a very neat framed Christmas package together with these two for my Dad, and that makes this worth a million.

Default The goal that won the Leafs the cup...

This is the definition of "buy the card, not the holder". This card of "the goal" has no creases and bright colour, I'm really surprised it only got a 3. This is one of my favourite cards, and the only card of Leafs legend Bill Barilko!
