Default 1956 Bowman Prototypes

Are there large clear images of these cards. I have only seen small images from a scrapbook that I can barely make out. Thanks...

I believe all known examples are in a scrapbook put together by Bowman. But I have seen decent photos of them before.

I believe all three designs, including the one that was used for the 1958 Hires Root Beer set, were used in the 2003 Bowman Heritage set. I recall the scrapbook images were all cards of Clem Koshorek (his image comes from the 1953 Bowman set), who was long gone from the majors by 1956. There's one design with two images, and the second "action" shot is Bobby Morgan (like Koshorek, the photo is from the 1953 Bowman set).

Thankfully REA has continued to let the hobby access their past auctions.

I believe there are prototypes of George Shuba as well.

think you're right, either in the Copeland catalog or Guernsey.
