Need help again guys. I am terrible with Ripken autographs and need opinions on this one.

Guys, let me ask this. I seem to have come across a run of bad Ripkens lately. Where do the majority of the fakes come from? Are they clubhouse autos, someone signing for him through the mail or just plain forgeries due to his popularity? Just wondering and also thanks for your opinions, I appreciate it.

Id say forgeries because people pay money for it. Any star player is at risk for forgery.

definitely forgeries....regardless of how many free autographs he signed at ballparks through the 1990's, he just couldn't keep up with the demand for his autograph.

the answer to that demand more often than not came from the bad guys (Marino family of Operation Bullpen fame, etc.)
