Also to answer the question why send it to PSA when we know it's real.
One of the biggest reasons I like would like to have all my cards in those MAGIC PSA slabs. Yes I call them MAGIC because of the prices the cards sell for when graded, although they have to be a 9 or a 10 they still sell for more than they do raw.
The second reason I like to have my cards in the MAGIC PSA slabs is if anything ever happens to me it would be easier for my wife &/or family to sell my collection.
Thanks again & Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!
Robert

Spending more time in the autograph forum lately. The knowledge here is incredible. I'm learning a lot just by listening.

I'm learning that I'm doing the right thing by staying out of the autograph side of the hobby. :-)

Shelly & Chris I finally got the signed 1962 Topps Mantle slabbed. I went with SGC with their recent $25 special a few months back. I am not sending in anything to PSA/DNA since they have changed the way they label the items to "Signed Sports Card" instead of 1962 Topps.
I got a few other goodies slabbed as well as the 1962 Topps!
Thank You to both of you & everyone else's opinion on the 1962 Topps signed Mantle card!

Problem is you didn't send it to PSA and assumed they are all the same. The entire conversation is now a moot point.

I do not think it is a moot point. Weather it is PSA/DNA, SGC or Jimmy Spence it still passed a TPA!
With PSA/DNA now labeling their autograph cards as "Trading Card" instead of what it is 1962 Topps Mickey Mantle I am not going to send in anymore items to them because I do not like the way they are now labeling them. Personally I really do like the SGC holders better than the PSA holders, I think the cards look better in them with the black border around them.

I'm with you Robert, I don't like that PSA DNA has done this labeling of trading card on blue flips. I'm guessing they want you to spend 40$ plus on their dual service red label slabs instead. Again it's a money money money making machine.

Because you did not send it to psa does not mean its a moot point. I have no respect for psa or jsa. It seems the majority of the people that looked at that card agreed is was authentic. If anyone still does not agree with it being authentic. Spend some money and get a quick opinion.

I didn't say it was not authentic. I believe it is. The point is whether PSA would pass it, not SGC.

The main reason that I send in items for TPA is to make it easier for my wife / family to sell my collection or whatever they do with it once I am gone!
As for now I am still enjoying adding new items to my collection. This marks my 40th year collecting baseball cards & sports memorabilia. I never imagined as a 9 year old kid buying packs of Topps baseball & football cards that I would have the collection that I do today & to have the opportunity to meet & become finds with so many of the players pictured on these little pieces of cardboard paper.
Thanks again for all your comments & help when I first posted this signed Mantle card on here. I am happy that it is now part of my collection!
