Without a doubt my favorite set of the 60's. Joe Namath's first regular size card. Tough woodgrain boarders and Funny Ring checklist that everyone threw out. Great head shots of all the old AFL stars. My three favorite sets in order.

1966 Topps

1963 Fleer

1989 Score

Roger, Great looking 65's! I forget just how nice those cards really are. I have a complete Bills set, but alas the Namath prevents me from trying for the set. You and Wolfbear would get along just great. (another Chargers fan).

1962. I like the nice color photo of each player & then the action photo beside. The black borders really set off the photos.

I know the graded guys do not like the set because the black borders are tough to keep nice but even if they are a little off they still look good.

I am a HOF and star player collector so sets are not really my thing but have thought about buying the 1962 set more than once.

I have '68 & '69 which are both very nice looking sets. '62, '65 and '66 are also very attractive. Actually, the psychodelic '67 set is the only one in the decade that I really don't care for. The 70's, on the other hand, had a bunch of dogs.

I love that flower child set of 67. It's the only set that actually marked a time in history. Drop a hit of acid and look at it. It really does grow on you then. happy.gif
