Default Martin DiHigo Diary Entry Translation

This is the first page of Martin Dihigo's personal diary. I speak Spanish but do not read or write it well. I get the general idea but was hoping someone could give me an exact translation. Thanks in advance

Martin Dihigo Llamas
I was born in the city of Matanzas, May 25, 1906. The street is called Buen Viejo, it was number 40 where I saw the light in this world. Because for another, he is born in Europe, where a man is born with equal rights in the different things of life. Poor Cuba.

I think that's about 95% correct, there may be a few contextual things I got wrong. Hard to decipher the handwriting in a few spots. Either way that is an absolutely fantastic piece with great content.
