This list is approx. a year old, and lists 5244 different T206's. It also includes the red Ty Cobb with the TY COBB back. I'm sure David has acquired a few more T206's since then.

I have cross-checked it with the T206 information I have provided in the..... T206 Reference. This thread is an extensive wealth of information regarding all the confirmed T206
front/back combos. Furthermore, it provides expectations of certain T206's that have yet to be confirmed. And, it identifies the "T206's" which are NO-PRINTS.

Thanks Ted, I just went to your link for a quick peek and spent almost a half hour there before realizing my day was slipping away. Fascinating stuff! I'll be back to read more as time permits.

I love the idea of trying to reconstruct how these cards were made... usually this type of logical exercise involves trying to solve some cold-case crimes, so this is a refreshing alternate research topic.

Well, it appears that you've proven Ryan's point. Well done.

The OP asked a legit question - has anyone ever seen Hall’s whole t206 collection. Not to see if the cards are trimmed or overgraded, but bc it is hands-down the greatest collection of varied T206 cards ever assembled. It’s an amazing feat/collection and, on its own, worthy of discussion, especially considering it is being broken up and sold.

Some of us want to still talk about and enjoy cards. We didn’t do anything wrong! We are angry too, but we still love cards and want to talk about them. Can’t people respect that, and not hijack every thread with anger and all caps and devolve it into the same thing that is already being discussed plenty of places elsewhere?

I mean come on.... I am not trying to minimize anything. I am just asking that we don’t make everything, especially benign card threads, about how much PSA and PWCC suck.
I hear what you're saying, you love cards. That's the difference between us and the reason you'd like me to shut up about PWCC and Brent Mastro.

Unfortunately for you, I won't shut up about it. They cheated on me and I kicked the M effer's OUT.

That's the difference between us. Cards cheated on you and you still love them. Good for you. I effin hate them. You cheat & you're dead to me. Just like baseball cards.... Dead to me. I'm out of love with them.

Now go get brow beat by your wife and hope she doesn't cheat on you too....But you're IN LOVEEEEEEEEEEEE.

Obviously my sarcasm was lost on you, and probably others.

This thread was meant as a celebration of the collection of somebody who has instrumental in f@#king up our hobby.

Apologies to those who don't appreciate my blunt language.

I refuse to celebrate him, or any of the others involved without pointing out their actions (if we are going to celebrate somebody in the t206 world, let's celebrate Ted Z).

Those of you who choose to put your heads in the sand and ignore that the very first card they gave an opinion on was a lie, and because of that every card that followed deserves to be looked at sideways, are certainly allowed to do that, BUT when you post your celebrations on a public site, then be prepared for a's like me (Ryan's term, I prefer "snarky f@#ker") to chime in.

If you don't want to hear from me and my kind, then take it private.

Obviously you missed the point of the whole thread. This thread was about the cards, not the grades or who graded them. Not about David Hall, Gary Moser, PWCC, etc. We don't want to discuss them.

Some of us want to know what cards Hall has to know that particular cards exist. I am interested in possibly picking up a few cards at the low end of the grading scale, cards that haven't been altered or those graded as altered. The vast majority of my t206s aren't graded if you ever read Ted's threads. I prefer my cards raw, but sometimes buy graded. If someone has details of his collection, particularly rare backs, I am interested in hearing that information. That is all.

Between the 3 auctions for the cards wouldn't they all be pictured/described in the catalogs?

Right!!

This should have been a fun and interesting thread. Instead I have to scroll past a half dozen motion images of a guy masturbating. What is it with people who keep posting that? Do you think it's funny? Does it help the discussion along? Is it what you are thinking about? Come on people, grow up, please, or go spend your time at a porn site with like-minded perverts, so people who want to discuss cardboard may do so without the filth.

There’s going to be far more auctions than just 3 with Hall’s cards. They will go well into next year.

I do think it's a bit ridiculous that just about every single thread, at least on the prewar section of this board - turns into a rage session about the current scandal and those who have done disservice to our hobby. Trust me, I don't have my head in the sand. I'm plenty upset myself and have done more than my fair share of spreading communication and warning others about what is going on to others on other sites, many who at least from their comments would seem to be actually uninformed, or at best woefully misinformed. But on the flip side I still do love my (mostly mid-to-lower) grade vintage baseball cards. I like talking about them and discussing their ridiculous nuances here online. And reading through these posts sometime to separate the wheat from the chaff in terms of the vitriol and personal attacks can get a bit stupid. I don't (at least I don't think...) know any of you all personally, and I haven't really had that long of an online relationship with you in these forums, so some of it I guess is either in jest, or taken at least less seriously by some than it would appear to Joe Public surfing the forum. So I'm not beating up on anyone - but does it get beyond annoying at times? Yes.

Just my 2 cents.

-John

Shout-out to Heritage!!!
Just got my Part 2 of the David Hall Collection Catalog.
It came with an addition T206 collecting booklet. I really think was cool to include this. Those who do not participate or read N54 on this subject matter, well here it is.
Something interesting to read for sure.
Thanks Heritage.

It is really sad if he starts breaking up his collection without showing off to us or anyone since we all like to show off our "complete back runs of a single player". Imagine looking at hundreds of complete back run of t206s... WOW.
I wonder what cards he is missing, and if they even exist. Any idea of how many one of one cards are included? I'd love to see them !

My guess is Hall didn't own 5k diff t206s, he claims he has or possibly know where/who he can obtain those ones that he was missing. That's why no one has ever since his "completed" t206 collection nor the complete checklist. I just don't think any serious collectors who were so aggressively paying got-to-have-it prices obtaining cards to complete their sets for yrs then just turned around and started selling them after a few weeks since he has already "achieved his goal". Hall probably frustrated for quite some times not be able to obtain cards that he needed from other collectors who are holding those one-of-one cards and decided to dump the whole collections to AH and flood the market.

There is a David Hall checklist. It's not public but a very small group of T206 collectors have it and a few others have a modified version to show a true "master" checklist.

Well, your "guess" is meaning-less.

David Hall would regularly email his updated wantlist to those of us who provided him with many of the tougher T206 cards. There is absolutely no doubt that he has approx. 5400
different T206 cards. Furthermore, when David would come to my booth at every National these past 10+ years, I got to see his Master set list. And, I am sure the same was true
for other dealers he trusted in.

This thread started, more or less, on a positive note. However, it has now (like many other recent threads on this forum) de-generated into a typical "social media" verbal slugfest.

So tell us.....do you personally know David Hall ?

And, how do you know how he thinks ? ?

Look guy, since 2001, this forum has been a meeting-place for some really meaningful dialogue and great sharing of information regarding many aspects of Sportscard collecting.
Consequently, some really great friendships have developed here on Net54....and the majority of us would like the congeniality we enjoy on this forum to continue.
