Default A 3rd version found!! Scans added---1989 Topps Football Holman ERR/VAR

Is anyone familiar with, or know anything about, the Rodney Holman #32 ERR/VAR where the BE in Bengals (front) is superimposed over one another?

Is it scarce?

Can't seem to find anything about it by Googling.

I'm assuming, after over 100 hits, that a Holman ERR/VAR is not known in the hobby?

I can't have the only one, could I?

I seem to recall a Pro Set variation, but I've not heard of one from Topps.

Default Scans

Sorry it took so long to get to it! Here's F-B and the enlarged name area. You can clearly see the B & E are onto each other & the whole Bengals-TE part is darker.

I have 7-8 other Holmans & they are normal print.

Anyone else got one? Curious as to scarcity of this seemingly unknown goof.

Good Lord! I was just sorting thru another bunch of '89's & found ANOTHER Err/Var--diff from the 1st!

This one has the attempted correction to where the type is offset from the rest of the line.

Here's the 2nd card: Anybody have one of these?

Just the 2 I show here--1 of each. I have about 7 more Holmans that are perfectly normal as they should be.

I know alot of you have big boxes of '89 junk wax, so who's gonna' look & find some?

A 3rd version has shown up per my thread on the EBay Board--the card on the left is another one w/ the B ABOVE and the card on the right is a 3rd version, w/ the B BELOW .

Is this card gonna' turn into a Fleer Ripken FF w/ many attempts to fix?

Post your findings, whether you have any or not--Lets see how many are out there!

I think calling Rodney's card another FF is unfair. He is one handsome dude.

By the way, the only way they will become valuable is if I don't have any. If I find some, then they will be worthless...............

I know I have some of those somewhere. I remember seeing them when opening packs but never gave it a second thought. I guess I should go through my commons boxes.............

Wondering what would be the cause of such a string of misprints?

Went through a 1000 count box last night and found ZERO Holman cards. Now to look through some other boxes when I find them.
