Help with Vintage Football Helmet
Hello All! I'm hoping that someone out there knows more than I do about this helmet. I picked this item up through an estate, and was wondering if anyone knows anything about it. It is painted white and red, as the pictures depict. I cannot find any significant writing on it, although there are some letters in the middle of the inside. I'm trying to find out anything I can about it. More specifically, age, why it was painted as it was, value, etc. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Don't know a whole lot about it but can tell you it's likely from the 40's and prob worth somewhere around $100. A nice vintage helmet.
