Default Maybe OT, does anyone know anything about this Basketball Card?

Hello all,

Apologies if this isn't the right place for this. It's not from a basketball set, but a "sports" set. I was able to find a little bit of information on this particular card, but I haven't found any sales or anything to suggest a value. This appears to be the first basketball card, no? Any help is appreciated!

What I was able to find thus far:

Thank you,
Jason

T7-6 series:
http://www1.coe.neu.edu/~dan/T7-6/go.html

First US basketball cards were from the 1909 T56 Murad College Series. There was a German card or two for basketball in 1906.

A well-known and well-respected name if you know your magazine and advertising art:

Cross-over collectible appeal beyond sports memorabilia...

Hi Jason -

The PreWarCards article is actually mine. While the T7 series spans a number of years, I believe all of the T7-6 prints were dated to 1913 or, at the earliest, the early 1910s. That specific image was used on other Hamilton King products from around that time, too. It's an early card but a little later that some others, like the 1890s paper dolls, Tetlow card, or the T51 Murad Williams 1st series.

Pat of VintageBasketball.com has these issues on his website and is a solid authority on pre-war basketball stuff.
