Default Natty Boh

If a member here won the following, congratulations! Even memorabilia (when it can be found) is realizing increasingly higher prices. I pushed the price to a decent limit but could not go any higher. When I first saw the piece, I thought it might be a reproduction, manipulated to look old. I did find a few other examples. The rounded corners gave me pause. Still a cool piece.

Very cool, indeed. I've had the only two metal Natty Boh Washington scoreboards I've seen, and wish I had held on to one. Never seen this before.

I like it, but as good as the fakers are getting, I’m not so sure…

I would enjoy seeing a picture of the scoreboard.

Look pretty good, then. 👍

I wasn’t trying to throw stones but we all know how stuff like this is ripe for forgeries.

No stones taken. As I mentioned the rounded corners made me wonder.

Wish I had one. There is also a metal Orioles Natty Boh scoreboard, very similar as National Bohemian sponsored both teams in the 1950s. Both of these are quite rare.

Ok I’m looking for some advice. I have had this in my collection many years and have thought about having it professionally cleansed and restored. It will cost me $300. Am I wasting my time and money?

How big is it, Mike? 300 bucks doesn’t sound terribly bad… I mean, it’s your year!

Would that be metal or cardboard? Again, $810 doesn’t seem bad, as long as you’ve got room to display it.

I would just get the piece framed and up on a wall. The blemishes give the piece character.

Looks to be heavily compressed cardboard, (https://www.ebay.com/itm/296183547486 )definitely not metal. $810 seems high to me, but perhaps worth the price because I have never seen another plus the Budweiser tie-in. Likely a Budweiser collector who doesn't even like baseball. Ah well, you win some and you lose a bunch!
