Default Chick Gandil :)

Another one for my T206 Beater collection!
Chick Gandil with a Piedmont back and a little rough around the edges.
I wanted this card because of his reputation as leader of the Black Sox ring and because using my unscientific method of watching cards on ebay I believe this card is a little less uncommon than most other commons. I just don't see as many of them for sale as others I keep an eye on. Here it is with it's century of wear and tear. Because of their famous legacy I view Black Sox players like HOF members even if it is a Hall of Shame they were inducted into. This card joins Zimmerman, Sleepy Bill and Chase in my banned pile.

Thank you ! Im mighty excited over what many see as a poor condition common. Next up is possibly a Cicotte W-516. I wish there was a T206 of Cicotte.

This is very rare, but I would sell it for one million dollars

Well I will be damned! For some reason I was thinking Cicotte was in the T205 set but NOT the T206! Well that opens up new avenues

Nice going. Chick Gandil was the very first T206 that I owned. I picked it up in 1996. And I'm still buying more.....

Default Gandil

Nice pick up on that Gandil! I like the interesting wear pattern. It looks like he is emerging out of a cloud of smoke! Very cool...
