Default Green Diamond Ted

Well, here it goes.

I've had a Green Diamond Ted Williams 16x20 in my collection for years now. I had heard that some might be signed by his son, and was just hoping to get opinions.

Thanks.

Rotated and enlarged it for you (looks a little pixely as a result of the enlargement):

No problem. FWIW, when I copied and pasted it in my image program, it appeared right side up, so I'm not sure what happened. You can always do a "Preview Post" (using the button below the compose window) that will let you see ahead of time if anything screwy is going on.

There is little question that much, probably most, of GD is authentic but his nasty little son, IMO, did do some nasty little things there.

Sorry, You might be one of the lucky ones. Look at the crap before it became GD. Grand Slam Marketing . His dad was ill and he did anything and everythig to make money off of him. He was a low life piece of garbage who sold crap with a hologram. Not only my opinion

In all due respect to my friends Richard and Shelly, I know I have been somewhat skeptical of the John Henry signing for Ted speculation.

If anyone has suspected John Henry signed examples to post, I am all ears.

these have been making the rounds a lot lately and I traded for one with a local vendor a while back.

Any shenanigans here or does Green Diamond & PSA? get one right?

So far, the only thing I've seen amiss on the Green Diamonds are the gigantic, UPC Code-sized, butt-fugly holograms.

From what I heard John Henry licked the back of those holograms to stick them on the pics .

For what its worth...I was in Crystal River Florida one day buying a collection , not far from Ted Williams house and out of the blue I got a call from John Henry , he wanted to know , and I quote "How do you know if an autograph is authentic ?" , I told him that its not something I can explain in a five minute phone conversation.

He got an attitude , and then asked me to come to HIM and explain it in more detail like it was an "obligation"

I said no problem is your Dad going to be there ?? and he said "No" and I said well in that case I won't be coming over unless you pay by the hour.....

He didn't like that too much and I vaguely remember him hanging up on me.

I'd be careful Jim, there may be an official filed document somewhere in Florida that says you are to be frozen when you die. Some guy named John Henry was nice enough to file it for you!

My dad makes good coffee if he remembers where he put the filters.
