Default M-101 Ruth Blank Back

I recently came across an M-101 Babe Ruth Blank Back. Can someone PM me, I'm trying to figure out if it's authentic. Thanks.

Default Ruth

Would you be able to post a scan? How did you obtain it?

its an easy card to authenticate, if we can see a picture of it

99.9% of them are reprints but there are authentic ones out there too.

This has the "wide gap" btw the photo and black frame.
Appears to be a reprint to me.

I put this together several years ago, and Leon put it on the site:

Andy, if I'm reading your post correctly, did PSA grade a fake Ruth rookie for you? That is unbelievable if they did!

They graded the fake accidentally and then DID compensate Andy for their error, from what I recall.

PSA mistakenly graded the fake for someone else. It had a really lousy scan on Ebay, but I bought it since it was graded. When I received it, I immediately knew it was fake. I tried to return it, but the seller dropped off Ebay as soon as the transaction was completed (big surprise). I tried to contact PSA myself, but the customer service person told me that if it's in a PSA holder, then it must be real. I had someone well known in the hobby (I'll keep his name anonymous) who knew the president of PSA contact PSA for me. The president of the company called me, then met me at a card show. I believe it was Joe Orlando at the time. I'm not sure if he is still with them. He took the card, destroyed it, and paid me what I had paid for it on Ebay.

By the way, this was a LONG time ago. I think it happened over 10 years ago at this point. Not a recent event.
