Default Topps Mockups

Some of you have probably been over to check out my blog posts on Topps mockups. I'm still looking for any scans of these rare birds. If you haven't seen the post, head over and check it out. You can navigate them from the link as there was one post after this one and four just prior:

http://toppsarchives.blogspot.com/20...seventies.html

To wet your whistle, I'll post what I believe is a rejected 1972 design. Can you imagine 787 cards that looked like this:

Post 'em if ya got 'em!

Here is a 79 Topps prototype that I believe was part of a previous Greg Bussineau auction......

Probably because they are "new" and unique, but I like them all. Would like to see that Wynn in color and am sitting here wondering what border color would look best. Blue border with Red team letters and a white name perhaps?.

I think I mentioned this before on here, but that design for Bob Tolan sure looks like the same one used for the Renata Galasso Seattle Pilots commemorative set from 1983-ish.

Tolan = 1980 Topps Football:

That Chamberlain card would have been fun.

I'm probably nearly alone in this, but I really like the design shown in the original post.

But then, I like the issued 72s, the 81 fleer star stickers, 41 Goudeys, and T204s (Not that I can afford much more than the type card I have)
