1964 Topps Photo Tatoo question

Does anybody know if the wrappers (backs of the tatoos) come in different colors for the same players? I have Flood, Groat, and the Cardinals team in a blue back, and Ken Boyer in a red back.

Randy...I have a set of these and my Cardinals all have the same color backs as yours. I do have both of the 'front' variations to Killebrew, Mantle and Koufax;

A minor mystery, at least to me, is why Topps called them Tatoos in 1964, but called them Tattoos in 1960. That difference caused me some problems when I was piecing those sets together via e bay searches

Al, I noticed the difference in spelling too. When I was searching on Ebay I did as Dave suggested and searched both spellings.

Does anybody else have input on the tattoo colors?

i combined the lists on here and came up with this
39 blues
24 yellows
24 reds
87 total so far....multiple of 3
i will have to go check my set
you 2 guys combine to have 8 players with 2 color wrapers all of which are yellow and red

I think your totals will be divisible by 3, 8 and 24 when all is said and done, although the two-color players may not end up divisible by 3. Haven't had time to really digest this all and won't for a few more weeks but there is always a pattern with Topps.

As Larry mentioned, I count 39 blue, 24 red, 24 yellow, there are 8 with both red & yellow. No blue backs are duplicated with another color back. So far.

Based on these posts, I need the Mantle triangle with a yellow back, and Willey with a red back...

I seem to remember an ebay auction with the Maz that I slept through while in some weird timezone.

I suspect there should be 96 in a master set based on these numbers. 24, 24, 48.
