Default Why Ted Lyons??

I enjoy these old team-signed balls, checking out the forgotten names of the past. This one is circa 1946, a bunch of Senators (but unfortunately no Wynn!) I can't figure out the scribble between Grace and Masterson, and don't know who Rich Jones is, even though he signed twice.

But what really bugs me is, why is Ted Lyons on here?? Did someone get this at the ballpark, with the Senators playing the Sox?

I was at a game when the Mariners were playing the Royals. I was about 13. I was getting a Mariners pennant signed outside the Kingdome, and then I saw Jeff King, one of the few Royals I knew by face. I walked up to him with my pennant and he said, "You know I play with the Royals." And I responded, "I know, and I don't care, I don't have anything else, and I want your signature." I imagine 60 years from now, someone will have my pennant and post on some discussion board - "Why Jeff King!?"

It's really not much of a scribble at all. Fermin Guerra.
