Default Recent Pickup: 1900 Warlow AC Football Photo

Posted By: Keith

I picked up this 1900 Warlow AC Football team photo recently and figured I would share it with some info on the squad. Warlow AC played out of Whitestone NY and was one of the better football teams of the area. This team was the New York Independent Champions of 1900 after defeating the Tompkin A.C. of Brooklyn 28-0 in the championship game.

This Warlow AC team also played in the Football "World Series" in 1902 which was an indoor football tournament played at Madison Square Garden with other big name teams of the era, a combined Philadelphia Athletics and Phillies football team, the Watertown AC, Orange NJ AC, the NY Knickerbockers, the Syracuse AC (which included Glen Pop Warner and the Carlisle Indian Pierce brothers), and the Warlow AC.
