Default Info on Corbett cabinet?

Posted By: Scott Sarian

Hi,

Does anyone have any information on this Jim Corbett cabinet card? I'm not familiar with the issue, so any info which could be provided would be most appreciated.

Thanks!
Scott

Scott,

any advertising on the back? I would think the back is blank, the photo is from the 1880-1890s - but the cabinet is later after his fighting days. You can tell by the text under the photo.

Thanks Jimmy.

The photo was sent to me to see if I knew anything about it. I'll be able to see it in person this coming weekend, so I'll know more about it then. I had it pegged as 1890s, but good to know your opinion that if it has the text as it does, that it probably is from later.

Thanks,
Scott

printing on the mount is common on collector issues of Corbett and Sullivan, even for 19th century cards.

Thanks; appreciate the feedback.

I imagine it's hard to place a value on it, since we don't know the exact issue? It does have a slight tear on the right-hand side as well...
