Default RIP Glenn Frey

Just heard that Eagles Glenn Frey has passed away. The Eagles was my first ever concert I attended during the "Hell Freezes Over" tour back in 1995.

I was just going to post this sad news.
I saw The Eagles a number of times and they always put on a great show.
They performed at Giants Stadium during the Hell Freezes Over tour and the opening act was Sheryl Crow. I remember that night well. They sold out the stadium for two nights.
RIP.

Glenn Frey and I shared the same birthday but different years.
We were able to see them play at the Hartford Civic Center this past July. Glenn ended the first set with an amazing version of Take it to the Limit.
I know Henley And Frey were like brothers.

Sad to hear that.

I saw the Eagles on February 1, 1980 in Auburn, AL during the 'Long Run' tour and it was awesome!

I went to bed early Monday night, so Tuesday morning was the first I had heard of it as well. Chris, I did the same thing. Last night, I popped in a Eagles DVD (Farewell Tour from Melbourne), turned the surround sound on and reminisced all night. Thanks for all the memories, Glenn. You will be missed.

Default RIP Glenn

Sad times indeed. I remember not only his music, but his acting stint on a show called Wiseguy in the late 80's that was very under-appreciated but critically acclaimed.

Found this link last night that I think is interesting. It's almost all about Don Felder, but all three videos are cool, and the last one captures the classic Hotel California live when it was still pretty new:

http://www.guitarworld.com/don-felde...-play-it/26149

This was during my senior year of high school--man does it take me back!

I absolutely wore out my Hell Freezes Over CD back when I was a teenager (while none of my friends cared at all about the Eagles). As Ted said, may the Good Lord above comfort his family and his fans.
