Default What is a fair price on a centered 1955 Bowman Mickey Mantle graded by BVG as a 4?

? Do people even collect BVG for post war cards like Mantle.

Bob,

Thanks for rounding up those numbers. Out of curiosity, are they all eBay sales?

Best Regards,

I don't actively pursue BVG graded cards as I don't like the thicker holders. However, I do have a couple of Mantles in BVG holders (51 bowman and a couple of others).

I recently paid $400 for this one so i would think a bvg 4
should be about 1/2 of that $200 unless you got to have it right now
in which case there is only one available on ebay BIN $ 265

Bob,

Sorry for the follow-up question.

Are these all of the sales on eBay for BVG 4 '55 Bowman Mickey Mantle cards over the past five years?

If so, this card seems like a bargain, in my humble opinion.

I look forward to your reply.

Best Regards,

Eric

I'm assuming those prices are from VCP?

Not a problem. These are all the eBay sales that VCP was able to capture. There may have been other auctions for BVG (or BGS) 4s that slipped through the cracks.

I think the 55 bowman set in general is very underrated. This is a very early Mantle. You also have fantastic Banks and Aaron cards in this set that fly below the radar.
