Default 1954 topps pwcc auction

Anyone else bid on those 1954 on the pwcc ebay auction that ended 3/10/15

seems like lots of real strong prices...many many cards were bid over current BIN listings with similar eye appeal.

Never understood why bidders like to bid more at auction than current BINs....

Not that I think this way BUT ... I can see an argument for paying more for an item from an auction house than Ebay. With an auction house, they have the item in hand and have expertise in dealing with cards. That reduces the chances of getting scammed. If you are willing to pay more to not deal with the potential cesspool of Ebay issues, that makes sense.
