Default What is a Good Baseball Memorabilia Price Guide?

Posted By: Chris

I have been trying to find a good vintage baseball memorabila price guide. I have a decent one made by tuff stuff called "Baseball Memorabilia," but it was made in 2001 or 2002. Is there an updated version of this or something similar? Does the 2009 or 2008 beckett have a lot of memorabilia in it?

Memorabilia prices are all over the board...there really isn't a good price guide for that stuff. I also have the Tuff Stuff guide and it really was never that close to being correct. Memorabilia is an area where you just have to observe for years before getting a good handle on it....I feel I have a pretty good handle on it just by watching the major auction houses for the past decade and asking a lot of questions of friends who specialize in Pennants, photos, et cetera.

Your best bet is probably to find some old auction catalogues along with prices realized listings from companies like Mastro, Lelands, REA, etc.

The Mears site lists completed sales of various items, too. They list some eye-popping prices for vintage equipment.

I have a bunch of hunt auctions catalogues so that is what i have been using. Sometimes it is just difficult since there isn't a set order according to each type of memorabilia.

most auction houses have searchable archives of past
auctions. Hunt`s has the tab on top "Completed Auctions"
click there and do a search.

Lelands has a great "Completed Auctions" search function as well...
