Default Alfredo Di Stefano

Hey everybody, not sure if anyone watched the Champion's League final. It was amazing, no doubt... especially Bale's goal. Wow. It got me thinking of another great Real Madrid superstar, Argentine Alfredo Di Stefano. While there are a number of his cards in the Real Madrid uniform, the Argentine cards are exceedingly difficult to find. I have decided to leave Monte Cudine cards off for now in this post, but they certainly "appears" to be his first card. For now - of the Argentine Issues - I have a preference for Titan and Revancha cards, though I very much love a number of his cards. I have so many different cards of his that it is hard to pick just a few to post.

Di Stefano was the #2 player from the FIFA Grand Jury and #4 on IFFHS and #6 on Top End Soccer and World Soccer.

For those of you that do not know, he had an amazing life story that included being kidnapped. There is even a card of him depicting that event.

More high level information about him:

Di Steafno is one of the ones on your list I'm pretty familiar with. A really interesting life to go along with being an all-time great at the worlds most popular sport.

And no kidding about the Champions League. I was lucky enough to watch at a small pub in London. An absolute world class goal by Bale and two more for Madrid that would look at home on a high school team's blooper reel.

Awesome cards as always. The Revancha is my favorite.

Hi Al I am new on the soccer forum. Do you have pictures of the backs of the Argentine Di Stefanos that you have pictured?

Hey buddy... they are all blank backs... one of the things that I do not love about soccer cards!
