Default Where did you go to college

With football season kicking off this past weekend, it occurred to me that it would be nice to know how Badgers we have out there collecting. But instead of limiting it to just U Wisconsin - objectively and undoubtedly the greatest school ever - let’s open it up to all colleges/universities. Where did you go to college and/or who do you root for?

On Wisconsin!!!

I graduated from Kutztown University. It's a state school here in eastern Pennsylvania. For a place that has been a Division II whipping boy in football forever, the school has produced several NFL players, most notably Hall of Famer Andre Reed and John Mobley,

University of Houston 1974 and 1990

Always a Coog!

I also follow my kids' schools...Texas State and Nebraska. My daughter is a Sarah Lawrence grad and they don't play football. She did send me a SLU football tee that said 'Undefeated Since 1927'.

I grew up in Illinois and went to a small college in Elgin, Illinois called Judson University. I now live behind the cheddar curtain just over the border and consider myself a Badger since I have lived her for 22+ years.

UCLA, but not hopeful for the Chip Kelly reign after his disastrous time with the 49ers. What? They already lost to Cincinnati? Could be a long season.

When I started Boston University in 1969, Bruce Taylor was the star of the football team. He went on to have a successful career in the NFL playing cornerback for the 49ers. He also had a brother Brian who played back court for the Nets in the ABA. BU no longer has a football program.

I went to high school with an even better player, Lyle Alzado, but I digress.

University of Richmond. Played dorm league hoops with Brian Jordan for a couple of weeks until the football coach found out and freaked that he was playing. Kenny Atkinson was also there at the time, now coaching the Nets.

I am not familiar with him. I graduated in 2004, and was actually a non-traditional student working full time while going to school.

One of the last classes I took before graduating was the fitness requirement. I was 260-270 pounds at the time, so I had nightmares of breezing through my Accounting/Finance/Statistics classes, but being unable to graduate due to the fitness requirement.

The only online course I took in my entire time at Kutztown was an online gym class that fulfilled my requirement. When I went to the course meeting the first day to learn about the requirements for the class, I learned that almost the entire class was KU football players. I did not really understand why guys in great physical shape (for the most part) took an online gym class. LOL

Yes they have. Wisconsin has won 21 of the last 23 meetings. Minnesota's last win was in 2003. Wisconsin has a 14 game winning streak since then.

Edinboro University of Pennsylvania - "The Boro", home of the Fighting Scots.

The current QB of the Ottawa Redblacks, Trevor Harris, is probably our second most "famous" alum after Sharon Stone.

We are DII in all sports except wrestling where we are DI and pretty good. We were coached for years by Olympic champ Bruce Baumgartner who I believe is still the Athletic Director.

Indiana University. Although I must admit that the Boilermakers in the thread have a better basketball arena than we do. We have all these banners blocking our view in Bloomington. Not so in West Lafayette... 😂

I started off at the U of Wisconsin undergrad but graduated from Northwestern. As I'm a Wisconsin-native, I have 'Badger blood' in me, and am a Badger fan more than a Northwestern fan in sports. My sister and dad went to U of Minnesota, my grandfather Michigan and my great grandfather Michigan State (was quarterback there!)-- so I come from a full Big 10 family.

It's always a bit odd living in Pac 10 country now. College football games in dusty, hot LA and Arizona don't equate with my Big 10 genes. I equate college football with Northern Midwestern fall weather with sometimes some snowflakes in their air.

Texas A&M. My vintage collection is almost entirely made up of guys who played at A&M and went on to play in the MLB. About 55 guys and 350 unique cards (some extremely hard to find).

Well played, my friend.

Before you start bragging about statistics no more recent than when Reagan was president, let's consider the recent history between the two. How did last year work out for you? Let me guess... another "rebuilding season"?

Ah yes... IU, winners of 1 out of the last 7 against Purdue.
