Default 1958 Topps Football With Game Stamps?

Posted By: petecld

Hello.

I work for Heritage Auctions and I am looking for help with a consignment. I am trying to find out the source of a set of 1958 Topps Football cards. I have a complete set in really nice condition but they each have one of the following stamps on the reverse. I am told they were issued in vending machines. The stamps are all football related so I was thinking if there was a game of some type which include these cards or is it possible a particular store with these machines had a special promotion where customers "played football" by buying cards and won or lost based on the "play" of the stamp?

These are the only six styles of stamp that appear Please see attachment.

Please post here or email me directly. Thanks in advance.
